my boyfriend’s college has an event before finals called the Cathartic Scream where they all gather in a field together and shriek into the void

My university has the “midnight scream” where Sunday night at midnight before finals week, everyone just screams where they are. It sounds like 5000 people are simultaneously getting murdered. It’s beautiful.
